Chrystal Gaines was born and raised in north Philadelphia and graduated from the Philadelphia school systems in 1979. She joined the United States Air Force two weeks after graduation.
Then, Chrystal accepted Christ in the summer of 1996 after visiting Bethany Baptist Church for about a month. The down-to-earth preaching and teaching style of Bishop David G. Evans contradicted everything she knew church to be. A few months later, she began volunteering in the Sound/Tape Ministry and took on increasing responsibility within the ministry as she grew in the Lord.
She is now the full-time Director of the MultiMedia Ministry, which consists of The Harvest Bookstore, Graphics, Sound, Video and Tape Ministries, Lighting, and the Radio and Television Ministries.
The two things that Chrystal loves the most is serving her Lord and Savior, and her son Derek. She thanks the Lord each and every day for allowing her to play a small part in the growth of this branch of Zion and helping to spread the Gospel across the world.
